On Saturday, April 16, 2005, CME will engage in performance testing in our market data production environment in order to test the environment’s capacity.  We intend to send up to 6,000 messages per second, or roughly 12Mbit/sec of data, through the market data environment during these tests.  In order to mitigate any negative impact on your system, CME strongly advises that customers disconnect their applications from MDN production feeds prior to the Saturday testing. 

Customers who are interested in testing the performance and reliability of their systems under very high message rates can also participate in this testing.  We are scheduled to run this test between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. CDT and will run the testing cycle approximately 4 or 5 times.  Customers who disconnect during our testing can safely reconnect their systems starting at 5:00 p.m. CDT on Saturday.
